Traffic Calming Scheme on L-2005, Knockanore

Waterford City & County Council proposed to undertake the construction of a traffic calming scheme along the L-2005 through Knockanore. This will be achieved by constructing kerbed islands located at four No. specified locations on the approaches and through Knockanore along with additional road markings, road signage and public lighting.  A drawing of the proposed layout is attached.

The main goal is to achieve speed reduction through Knockanore and in particular on approach to the National School and local Church. The implementation of this  traffic calming scheme will create a safer environment for all road users.

Drawings are available for inspection below from Wednesday 25th March to Tuesday 21st April 2020 howeverdue to the Covid-19 outbreak, will not be available to view in our offices for health and safety reasons.  Notification will also be circulated in the Community and to the District Council.

The Council will consider any submissions or observations made in writing regarding the proposal.  Submissions should be sent by post to Ms. Aideen Jacob, Administrative Officer, Roads Department, Waterford City & County Council, Menapia Building, The Mall, Waterford or by email to ajacob@waterfordcouncil.ie to be received before 4.00pm on Tuesday 5th May, 2020.
