Expired Public Consultations 2020

CONSULTATION END DATE: 21st September, 2020

Notice is hereby given that Waterford City and County Council in pursuance of its function under Section 73 of the Roads Act 1993, proposes as local authority for the administrative area of the County of Waterford, to make an order that the public right of way as set out in the attached drawing shall be extinguished. The public right of way to be extinguished refers to a distance of approximately 83m to a section of Pier Head Road which extends in a north to south direction from the northern side of the level crossing of the Waterford to Rosslare railway line to the end of the former pier which is now incorporated in the Frank Cassin Wharf as indicated on the attached drawing. The public right of way is being extinguished to reflect the non-use of this section of Pier Head Road in recent decades.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, the drawing will not be on public display in Council offices. However a copy of the drawing indicating the public right of way to be extinguished may be inspected from Tuesday 11th August, 2020 to Monday 7th September, 2020 below or alternatively a copy of the drawing can also be provided free of charge by email or post by contacting Aideen Jacob, Administrative Officer, contact details below.

Objections or representations regarding the proposed extinguishment may be made in writing to Aideen Jacob, Administrative Officer, Roads Department, Waterford City & County Council, The Mall, Waterford or by email to ajacob@waterfordcouncil.ie to arrive no later than 4.00pm on Monday 21st September, 2020. Any person making an objection may also make a request in writing to state their case at an oral hearing which may be conducted, if deemed appropriate, by Waterford City and County Council.
