Traffic Calming Scheme - L4033, Brown Street, Portlaw

CONSULTATION TYPE: PUBLIC CONSULTATION
CONSULTATION END DATE:
19th July, 2022

Waterford City & County Council proposes to undertake improvement works along the L4033 Brown Street within Portlaw Village. The works will include upgrade and modification of existing footpaths, designate parking, provide build outs, uncontrolled crossing points, controlled crossing points, raised tables with improved road markings and the provision of new public lighting, as set out on the attached drawing.

The main goal is to reduce vehicular speed and to provide safe access and connectivity by way of footpaths and crossing points along Brown Street.  The implementation of the traffic calming scheme will create a safe environment for all road users with a strong emphasis on non-motorized road users.

The drawing is available for inspection in our Customer Services Departments in Davitts Quay, Dungarvan and Bailey’s New Street, Waterford and below during the period 8th June to 5th July, 2022.

The Council will consider any submissions or observations made in writing regarding the proposal.  Submissions should be lodged with Aideen Jacob, Administrative Officer, Roads Department, Waterford City & County Council, Menapia Building, The Mall, Waterford or by email to ajacob@waterfordcouncil.ie to be received by 4pm on 19th July, 2022.
