The following proposal was agreed by the Metropolitan District Council at their meeting held on 20th June
2022 , that the name of the Cork Road from the junction with College Street as far as the junction with Paddy
Browne's Road be changed to Bóthar na hOllscoile/ “University Road”.
The name change is being proposed to mark the establishment of the South East Technological University. The area proposed is the R680 Cork Road from it’s junction with the L5517 College Street to it’s junction with the L1515 Paddy Browne’s Road, as set out on the attached drawing.
A copy of the drawing will also be available to view in the Customer Services Departments in Davitt’s Quay, Dungarvan and Bailey’s New Street during normal office hours and on the Council’s website below.
Objections or submissions on the proposal may be made in writing to Aideen Jacob, Administrative Officer, Roads Department, Menapia Building, The Mall, Waterford or by email to ajacob@waterfordcouncil.ie not later than 4pm on 29th August, 2022.
