Waterford City & County Council proposes to undertake road improvement works along R681 and L3036 within Kill Village as set out on the attached drawing. The proposed works will consist of the following: additional uncontrolled pedestrian crossing with raised table, build outs, narrowing road width with kerbs, gateway speed limit signs, renewed road signage and markings.
The main goal is to reduce vehicular speed within Kill Village on East and West approaches. The implementation of the traffic calming scheme will create a safe environment for all road users with a strong emphasis on non-motorized road users.
The drawings are available for inspection in our Customer Services Departments in Davitts Quay, Dungarvan and Bailey’s New Street, Waterford and below, during the period 19th January to 15th February 2022.
The Council will consider any submissions or observations made in writing regarding the proposal. Submissions should be lodged with Aideen Jacob, Administrative Officer, Roads Department, Waterford City & County Council, Menapia Building, The Mall, Waterford or by email to ajacob@waterfordcouncil.ie to be received by 1st March, 2022.
