Waterford City & County Council operate several community and municipal sports facilities throughout Waterford.

Community Sports Hub at Carrickphierish
Carrickphierish Sports Hub is a shared facility between two schools and Waterford City & County Council. The two schools have use of the hall each day until 4pm and the Council oversee use of the hall from 4pm midweek and weekends.
The hall facilities include the following:
- Multi-purpose sports hall (15 m x 33 m) with a partition function to separate the hall into two spaces
- Two communal changing rooms
- Accessible toilet facilities
- Reception area
- Kitchen facilities
Williamstown Golf Course
Williamstown Golf Course is a par 72, 18-hole golf course set on 130 acres of rolling countryside at Williamstown, Waterford City.
Designed by top course architect Eddie Hackett, the course at 6,700 yards is one of the longest inland 18-hole courses in Ireland. Ideally located, it is only minutes from away from Waterford City Centre and has excellent golfing facilities.
The course is open to all on a pay and play basis. Golf societies are welcome. Refreshments are available.

Dungarvan Sports Centre
Dungarvan Sports Centre is a multi-purpose hall for indoor sports such as soccer, badminton, basketball, indoor hurling and hockey.
Local schools use the hall for P.E. classes during the day. There are also two rooms that can be hired for meetings.
The hall caters for some big events during the year including The Celtic Box Cup and other boxing events, the John Treacy 10-mile race goodie bags set-up station, and two musical shows – one in the Summer and the other in Winter. Opening hours are 8am to 9.30pm from Monday to Friday.

Waterford Regional Sports Centre
Waterford Regional Sports Centre is a multi-sports venue over 40 acres in Waterford City. It consists of an IAAF international standard 400m mondo running track that is surrounded by 3,000 covered seats, four playing pitches, a high-performance gym for team workouts and an 18-hole Pitch and Putt course.
Each year, Waterford Regional Sports Centre hosts many local, provincial and national athletic championships, and is also where League of Ireland side Waterford F.C. play home games.
Waterford Regional Sports Centre has won the League of Ireland Pitch of the Year twice in recent years. Many of the local schools and club teams also use Waterford Regional Sports Centre to play games. Use of the Track, and Pitch and Putt course is operated on a pay as you play basis and bookings are only required for large groups.
