“Getting Citizens Online” Training Scheme

The Digital Skills for Citizen Scheme is actively supporting citizens to take their first step to “Getting Online”.

Classes are taking place in numerous locations in every county. Classes are advertised locally, times and venues are arranged to meet the needs identified by citizens.

A list of training locations is available at www.dccae.gov.ie/digitalskills

The Department of Communications, Climate Action and Environment is actively supporting people to move online and enjoy all that the internet offers. In a ‘connected’ society, digital skills are essential if we’re going to realise the full social and economic potential of this digital world.

Under the new Digital Skills for Citizens Grant Scheme, Minister Naughten, T.D. has awarded 15 organisations a total of €2.2m to provide basic digital skills training to people nationwide.  The Scheme aims to give people the confidence, motivation and skills to take their first steps online, so that they can play their part in an increasingly digital world.

Training classes will be delivered in accordance with the Statement of Requirements (as Gaeilge).  To find out where classes are scheduled to take place, please check out the training locations below.
