On 13th June 2025, Minister for Rural and Community Development and the Gaeltacht, Dara Calleary TD, and Minister of State with responsibility for Community Development and Charities, Jerry Buttimer TD, announced the successful projects under the Local Enhancement Programme (LEP) 2025.

The Local Enhancement Programme 2025 was targeted towards enhancing facilities in disadvantaged communities with funding available to support local groups with ongoing running costs and capital supports available for community groups and organisations, particularly those who serve disadvantaged areas in rural and urban areas.

The Department of Rural and Community Development and the Gaeltacht’s Local Enhancement Programme 2025 is administered by the Waterford Local Community Development Committee (LCDC), with support from Waterford City & County Council. Waterford City & County Council will be contacting all applicants (successful and unsuccessful) in due course.

Register with the PPN


To be considered for community grants, groups / organisations must be registered with the Waterford Public Participation Network (PPN), with your unique PPN number required as part of the application process. Further information can be found at www.waterfordppn.ie, or by contacting Muriel Tobin at mtobin@waterfordcouncil.ie. WCCC will communicate future grants announcements through the PPN and WCCCs website and social media platforms.
