Severe Weather Update – Friday 2nd March, 4:15pm
Ploughing and gritting operations continuing across city and county but conditions very difficult with continuing snowfall hampering operations.
Will be continuing up to late tonight and resuming at 5am and with a slight thaw forecast for the morning would hope to make better progress tomorrow.
Focus is on maintaining key access routes passable for emergency services.
We would ask that people continue to stay off the roads for the rest of today.
