Status Yellow Rain Warning for Waterford

Yellow warningsA Status Yellow Rain Warning has been issued by Met Éireann for Waterford, valid from 11.00pm Tuesday 17th February until 11.00pm Wednesday 18th.  Spells of heavy rain combined with strong southeasterly winds are expected overnight and through Wednesday.  Surface water, localised flooding and difficult travelling conditions are likely at times due to saturated ground.  While some wintry precipitation is forecast for the northwest and over higher ground elsewhere, the main impact in Waterford will be persistent rainfall and poor visibility.

Conditions will remain unsettled into Thursday and the weekend, with further rain expected. Temperatures are set to turn milder as winds shift southwesterly, but additional heavy showers remain possible.
